Appendix D. Jesus Was Thin, So You Can Be Thin Too
This book is a valuable tool for people wanting to lose weight. It utilizes 150 scripture verses that can be applied to weight management. The most common comment I have received from those reading the book is that confronting obesity from a spiritual point of view is “sobering and true.”
The title is not sacrilegious. Psalm 22 is a very remarkable and specific prophecy of the sufferings of Jesus. We see the scene of the crucifixion clearly in the words, “A company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet—I can count all my bones—they stare and gloat over me; they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.” This psalm comes to its fullest realization in Jesus.
Jesus first became emaciated during the 40 days of fasting in the wilderness at the beginning of his ministry. This was a lesson for us on appetite control. During His lifetime he walked hundreds of miles. He ate a sparce diet and often shared his meals with those in need.
Jesus was thin. This prophecy in Psalms indicates that “all his bones” were visible. His ribs were not covered with a layer of fat. Jesus is our example in all things. We need to strive to be thin like He was. We will be healthier for it.
This book is for anyone struggling with appetite control and can be used as accessory reading material for those taking the Best Weigh program. It is available at any online book distributor. <Insert Graphic 17 here>
