___ 3. Total Surrender (5 minutes x 100)

Explore www.TotalSurrender.net and find the devotional series: God’s Amazing Grace. Determine to read 5 devotionals per day for 20 days for a total of 100 devotionals in 3 weeks. Download & Print the Reading Log to track your progress.
Devoting yourself to the love and will of God on a daily (moment-by-moment) basis is the most important duty and privilege you have as an SDA OptiHealth Medical Missionary. This is because by committing every day to follow in Christ's footsteps, God promises to give you the power to fulfill His purpose for your life.

The promise of the Holy Spirit has been cherished by all generations of God's people since the time of the apostles. Our free online resource, Total Surrender, is an effective tool for growing in grace.

Each devotional message is from the writings of Ellen White in which she expounds on the importance of this “most essential gift.” As you become familiar with this resource, you will be able to refer others to it with conviction from personal experience.

Don't limit yourself to just "one devotional per day." The effects of each 5-minute devotional to bring the power of Christ into your daily life will reveal the power you can receive and the things you are able to do when you work together with Him (Hebrews 11:1). We need Christ in us to sanctify every thought, word, and action – the hope of glory.

___ 4. A Call to Medical Evangelism (30 minutes x 9)

Read this 47-page compilation of EGW quotes about serving as a Medical Missionary. Read 1 chapter per day for 9 days. All 9 chapters are available online. Take the quiz at the end of each chapter to confirm your understanding.

In these last days of earth’s history, those who meet the “medical” (health reform) needs of others will have the door opened to meet their spiritual needs as well. Christ Himself ‘went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed by the devil’ (Acts 10:38). His healing was not only physical, but spiritual as well.

This short, but exceptional book is a call to the church and individuals to help others with medical and spiritual needs. When we follow this counsel, we are heeding the advice of Isaiah 58, which outlines our responsibility to help those who are sick and needy. This is the true service that God wants from us, and this is what is so powerfully called for in this timeless book.
4. A call to Medical Evangelism

___ 5. Intro to Health Evangelism (30 minutes x 8)

After reading “A Call to Medical Evangelism” (#4, above), read the first 8 Chapters of “The Principles and Practice of Health Evangelism” by Elvin Adams, MD, MPH. All 8 chapters are available online through the link below. Read 1 chapter per day for 8 days. Take the quiz at the end of each chapter to confirm your understanding.

There are problems within the end-time remnant SDA (Laodicean) church. Isaiah 58 and Revelation 3 outline many of these, including:
  • Satisfaction with knowledge without having a passion to live it and share it.
  • Lack of personal transformation that will result from faithfully following truth.
  • Lack of friends who are not already familiar with said truths - and suffering because of it.
  • Lack of opportunities to gain the skills for and to experience the joy in sharing the truth.

This book outlines the antidote for all these problems. It is health evangelism, true medical missionary work, and it is vital for every member of the remnant church to take hold of this work at this time in earth’s history.

Reading this book can be life-changing, because health evangelism is the work for this time. The principles are clearly outlined, logically developed, and a pleasure to read. It is our hope that you will not only read the first 8 chapters, but that you will also take the next step and practice the principles described, and equally important, share the blessings bestowed.
