Personal Lifestyle Change
A series of "real-life" assignments to initiate your therapeutic lifestyle change.
Assignment E3: Commitment - The OptiHealth Pledge
Healthcare is changing, and as an OptiHealth Coach, YOU can help lead the way.
The old system of disease detection and symptomatic treatment doesn't work for the chronic conditions that plague our modern society. The obvious solution is disease prevention and health promotion.
The best (and only) way to learn how to help individuals, families, organizations, and whole communities get and stay healthy through Therapeutic Lifestyle Change (TLC) is by EXPERIENCING the mutual process of therapeutic lifestyle change YOURSELF.
As you then influence others to also develop a healthier, more active lifestyle, healthcare can be changed from high-cost and crisis-driven to low-cost and self-directed.
If you want to help create a culture of optimal health as a new kind of health or fitness professional, or as a community-based volunteer, you'll have to teach and lead mainly by EXAMPLE.

“Pure air, sunlight, temperance (self-control), rest, exercise, proper nutrition, the use of water, and trust in divine power, these are the true remedies. Everyone should have a knowledge of these natural remedial agencies and how to apply them. It is essential both to understand the principles involved in the treatment of the sick, and to have a practical training (personal experience) that will enable one rightly to use (and share) this knowledge.”
